THE PLACE FOR BOMB MEXICAN STREET FOOD IN MINNESOTA
"This place is by far hands down the best place to go. I’ve been to a lot Mexican restaurants and their burgers are the best I’ve ever had, tacos are amazing too. You will not be disappointed, you have to check this place out"
"Picked up some delicious tacos this weekend from one of my favorite restaurants in The Twin Cities! Known for their Mexican burgers, authentic homemade tortilla tacos, and delicious hotdogs, the flavors are amazing! Stop by one of their Twin Cities locations!"
"Holy smokes! Del Gordo was loaded!!!! Burger, ham, avocado, tomato, jalapeños, onion, mustard, ketchup, lettuce. Be sure to get the fries, skin on, crispy. The Gordo Cubano had burger, egg, hot dog, avocado, jalapenos. Slam dunk meal!"
Have I told you how much I love that Hamburguesas El Gordo opened this second location? These are half the price that other gourmet dogs go for, and they are damn delicious.
Hamburguesas takes it a bunch of steps further, adding toppings like ham, bacon, chorizo, pineapple and even split hot dogs, resulting in behemoth Frankenstein burgers that are as messy as they are delicious.
To top it all off, there’s that agua fresca, which you really shouldn’t miss with all the heat and grease going on. And a word to the wise: Consider splitting that hamburguesa with an amigo, as it’s a serious monster.
The Double’s 16 ounces of beef (pictured, above) is a lot to handle. And that’s before taking the plentiful pile-on of extras into account, a list that starts with mozzarella..
A gem. Wonderful beef in the hamburger and the construction was very much like a torta which was excellent. French fries were thick well-cooked and not too salty very good.
